Ruth Stout Method

Ruth Stout was a pioneer of “no work gardening techniques” in the United States. Her gardening techniques known as the “Ruth Stout Method” (as named by the readers of her books), had some of the following benefits:

No yearly tilling of the soiled needed.
Little or no weeding needed.
The soil becomes healthier every year.
The soil does not dry out as readily in the Summer heat.
Problems from late Spring frosts after planting are prevented.
